Nel Talen lives in a small town in the north of the Netherlands and photographs with nature as her constant source of inspiration, often surprised by the beauty of small, simple things. Her journey began in macro work — flowers, butterflies and dragonflies.

In recent years she has drawn more broadly from nature, shifting toward an evocative style built on composition, light and colour. Through multiple exposure and Intentional Camera Movement she creates a little world of her own, conveying impression and feeling rather than literal reality.
