Cheryl Maeder is an internationally recognized fine-art photographer and video-installation artist whose work explores the ineffable connection between the self, others, nature, and the infinite. Trained at the Zurich University of the Arts and later established in San Francisco — where her studio produced international advertising and fashion campaigns — she became an influential voice in the representation of women, her series of real women of all shapes and sizes helping to inspire Dove's landmark Campaign for Real Beauty.

Based in Miami, Florida since 2005, Maeder has devoted herself to fine-art photography and immersive installation, exhibiting at the Frost Museum, Miami; the Louvre, Paris; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Rome, and presenting at Art Miami, Scope New York, Art Toronto, Art London, and Art Shanghai. Her ethereal, abstract imagery brings into focus the threshold between reality and the sublime.
