José Beut is a Spanish photographer whose practice reaches back more than three decades, beginning in the darkroom with black-and-white technique, studio lighting, still life, portrait and landscape. The arrival of quality digital cameras drew him back to more intensive work and the craft of digital editing.

His favoured subjects are travel, architecture and the street, alternating with long-exposure landscape by day and twilight. He has gathered more than 250 national and international awards, among them 21 FIAP Blue Pins as best author, and in 2017 was named Photographer of the Year by Spain's CEF.
