Jenny Westenhofer is a painter who came to her vocation by a winding route — a business degree and a career in advertising, then murals painted for friends, and finally oil painting, which she discovered in a class after moving to Louisville in 2009 and fell in love with.

After more than sixteen years she works in a confident, 'lay it on and leave it' manner, big brushes and decisive strokes celebrating the way light meets pattern and colour. She often begins by getting to know a client and their home, translating its mood into work meant to transform a room and become a cherished heirloom.
