Iris Lehnhardt is an independent painter living and working in the Taunus region of Germany. She trained at the Wiesbaden Free Art School and the Academy for Contemporary Art at Lake Constance, and her work has been exhibited and collected nationally and internationally.

Her abstractions seek a balance between atmospheric suggestion and a spare, expressive presence — delicate overlays, pastel accents and transparent glazes set against impasto and bold gesture. Through the language of abstraction she relates to immediate, felt experience. She is a member of the BBK, Wiesbaden chapter.
