Born in the Tuscan countryside, Giorgio Gosti has been drawn to painting and drawing since childhood. After a scientific education he began as a self-taught painter, later studying with masters across Lombardy, and found in watercolour the technique that most fully expresses his creativity.

In recent years he has combined his love of travel and painting in carnets de voyage inspired by the places he has visited. He lives and works in Tuscany, and his paintings are held in private collections across the United States, England, France, Canada and Italy.
