Eli Basri is a self-taught documentary, landscape and nature photographer based in Israel. Across more than four decades he has built a reputation for chasing rare light and weather, waiting on conditions that reveal the essence of a subject.

His practice extends to immersive documentary projects — among them the traditional Ultra-Orthodox wheat harvest — pursued with the patience of a photographer who treats the natural and the cultural with equal attentiveness.
