Brandon Thomas is a self-taught painter from Atlanta, Georgia, whose distinctive voice in acrylic and watercolor has steadily gained recognition since 2017. His practice has evolved from pastel abstraction toward an impressionistic approach to animal portraiture, complemented by luminous coastal watercolors of fish and affectionate icons of the American South.

Influenced by the Georgia painter Steve Penley, Thomas favors a soft pastel palette animated by bold, gestural brushwork — a body of work defined, in his words, by the desire to inspire moments of happiness and optimism in others.
